A Pacific Northwest native, Kristen graduated from Washington State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She received her Juris Doctorate from University of Oregon Law School in 2004, with a certificate in Public Interest and Public Service Law and the Pro Bono Certificate Program. While in law school Kristen was a Morse Center on Law and Politics Fellow, served as Chair of the Loan Repayment Assistance Program and also completed mediation training.
Following law school Kristen worked as a public defender in Clark County. She defended a wide range of misdemeanor crimes such as DUIs, assault and possession charges.
Since joining Green & Ritchie, PLLC Kristen focuses on family law, including divorce, modification of parenting plans, and child support.
